About Me
Build Your Business Brick by Brick

Hello, my name is Gary. When I went into business, I didn't have a great deal of money. The lack of funds meant that I had to buy commercial premises which had seen better days. The roof was leaking, the plumbing was causing problems in the bathrooms and the interior walls were in need of repair. Thankfully, my brother loaned me some money so I could call in some contractors to work on the building before I opened it to my customers. The workmen were great, they carried out a quick but professional repair and I was able to open for business. My business is doing really well and I couldn't be happier with the building. I decided to start this blog to offer advice to others who are considering hiring construction contractors.

So what are some of the sink designs that you could consider?

A wall-mounted sink

One of the styles that have grown in popularity is to have the sink mounted on the wall. This type of design is especially functional in smaller rooms as it gives you the chance to make the most of the floor space available to you. Wall-mounted sinks are also great for children's bathrooms as they can be mounted at a height that would be comfortable for these little humans. Another benefit of a wall-mounted sink is that all the plumbing requires is conveniently hidden behind it in the wall. One thing to note is that you need to ensure that the wall would be sturdy enough to support the weight of the sink.

A pedestal sink

This type of sink is characterised by not having any type of cabinetry incorporated into its design. Instead, it is a sink bowl that has been mounted atop of a columnar structure. The plumbing required to make the sink functional is then hidden within the column that is supporting the sink, which keeps it out of sight. These types of sinks are usually installed in guest bathrooms where you would not have the need for storage of personal hygiene items, as the bathroom is not used regularly. However, they are also a great design option for bathrooms with space limitations.

A vessel sink

If the décor of your home leans more toward contemporary design, a vessel think would add a touch of modernity to your bathroom. However, it should be noted that these types of sink designs would require ample room as they take up a considerable amount of space. With a vessel sink, you could choose to have the bowl sit atop of your vanity counter as a separate entirety. You could also choose to have it partially submerged in your vanity counter for a unique appearance.
